Exploring Setting

This mini unit explores the concept of setting in picture books through hands-on, creative activities. Students engage in a range of drawing and making activities by choosing their favourite setting from the text ‘Imagine’ by Alison Lester. Students will learn about adjectives along the way, in order to write their own description of a setting that they have created. This engaging unit of work will see students working both in pairs and individually to write and create a setting.
